Xiaomi has quietly but confidently expanded its smart home lineup with the launch of the Mijia Robot Vacuum 5 Pro, a device that’s clearly aimed at the premium end of the market. It’s already available on JD.com, and pricing starts at around $529 for the standard water tank model. If you want the more advanced water supply and drainage version -the one that handles refills and waste water on its own – that’ll set you back about $625. Depending on the region, there may be extra subsidies that take some of the sting out of the price.
A combination of power and accuracy
It’s difficult to overlook the headline stat here: 23,000Pa of suction power. The Mijia 5 Pro is positioned as a serious cleaning tool rather than a device for light maintenance because it offers far more than the majority of popular robot vacuums.
However, raw power is simply one aspect of the situation. The AI camera, infrared sensor, fill light, and dot-matrix laser radar are all part of a tightly linked system that provides navigation and obstacle recognition. Xiaomi claims that the AI can distinguish between 47 distinct forms of filth and more than 200 different kinds of household items. It does more than just clean; it chooses how to clean, adapting to various surfaces and kinds of dirt.

Self-maintenance at 80°C
The base station is a high-temperature self-cleaning system, not just a dock. In addition to collecting dust automatically and washing the mop pads at up to 80°C, the improved model can change the water and dispense detergent without you having to do anything.
If you have ever used a robot vacuum, you are aware that maintenance is frequently the least exciting aspect of the experience. In this case, Xiaomi is obviously attempting to automate the maintenance process as much as the cleaning.
Design and specs

Robotic vacuums have a notoriously difficult time cleaning edges. It is addressed by the two sweeping and mopping arms of the Mijia 5 Pro, which are said to achieve precision down to the millimeter. It’s obvious Xiaomi has intended this device for use beyond than open-floor cleaning when you combine that with its adaptive laser radar and its ability to duck around furniture with only 9.5 cm of clearance.
- Suction Power: 23,000Pa
- Navigation: AI camera, infrared sensors, laser radar
- Self-Cleaning Base: Up to 80°C washing and drying
- Advanced Features: Automatic water change & detergent dispensing (select models)
- Clearance Height: 9.5 cm
The Mijia Robot Vacuum 5 Pro is in line with Xiaomi’s reputation for aggressively selling high-end products. It is strong, automated, and, if the AI performs as promised, intelligent enough to manage more difficult cleaning situations with little assistance from humans. On paper, it’s among the most capable robot vacuums to hit the market this year, but whether the price is worth it depends on how much you value convenience.
